According to NASA, the world will not end in 2012. An idea gaining popularity that December 21, 2012 will be doomsday for the planet earth is not scientific, states the official website for The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (www.nasa.gov). It is reported that a planet, not officially discovered, will crash into our earth. This is linked with the end of one of the cycles of the Mayan calendar. David Morrison, a NASA space scientist, when asked about the 2012 date tells CNN listeners not to worry but enjoy 2012 and 2013 as it will come. Morrison preempts this with a review of the facts. There is no such planet, and the Mayan calendar will turn over just like ours does when we get to December 31. And he is right; there is nothing to the prediction of December 21, 2012. But here is what grabbed my attention and shook it: On NASA’s website, under the Frequently Asked Questions link, the response about a coming doomsday was, “Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012…For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none.” Our planet has been “getting along fine?” Our planet has not been getting along fine for even the 29 years I’ve been alive. I appreciate and respect the work of the NASA scientists, but “we’ve got a problem.” If you take God’s direct involvement out of the equation (evolution), than we will only have what our feeble human intelligence offers us… and the conclusion will continue as science indicates to be plenty of future ahead for this planet. But God’s intelligence says differently – He will interrupt “credible science” just like He did the first time in creation. Even "credible science" then has it's limits.
Morrison is right I am not to be afraid, and God is right, year will not always follow year… He’s coming back.
Oh ya... Here are the fattest little carrots from my garden... the only thing I harvested.

Hey Mickey :)
In Germany SDAs have been instructed to talk to people at the theater exits about Emmerich's movie 2012 - and the prophecies in Daniel. I think thats not a bad idea, are you guys doing something like that in the US?
Hi Mike,
it's very interesting how people have absolute faith in science and technology, thinking it can and will provide answers to everything. Nothing against science or technology, but when we put our faith in ourselves or do things for the glory of man...the results can't and will not be good!
by the way, are you sure those "fattest" little carrots are the "only thing" you harvested?

I am very intrigued with your fat little carrots!! Maybe you should come up to FV and learn how to grow them long and skinny.... :) Well, I guess we have some pretty fat ones too! In fact, I just lit one up the other day that was about 2 1/2-3 inches in diameter. Fun stuff!
Christian - I am sure groups have come up with very good ideas to connect with people over this.
MH - Never know what could have come from the "garden."
Autumn -FV does have world famous carrots... no competition from me. Keep your courage with your immigration situation.
touche' Nice ;)
